SE “UKRVUGILLYA”

Activity

Main objectives of the enterprise in coal-product sales, resource-base formation and sectoral information support.

Main objectives of activity:

  • Participation in forming the national fuel balance based on the analysis of demand and the existing resource base.
  • Purchasing coal from coal-mining enterprises and supplying it to energy-generating companies, coke-chemical enterprises and other consumers of coal products.
  • Export and import operations with coal products and related activities.

Formation of the coal resource base:

  • To ensure rational allocation of marketable coal products produced by state coal-mining enterprises among potential buyers, SE “UKRVUGILLYA” specialists form the “Resource Base of Coal of Coal-Mining Enterprises and Directions of Its Shipment” every month.
  • The resource bases are formed based on calculations of expected coal resources for sale and proposals from coal-mining enterprises for coal sales and distribution for a specific period.
  • The resource bases provide compact information on coal producers, expected production volumes, stock movement proposals, processing volumes at preparation plants and units, finished-product output, coal consumed for own needs, and proposals for sale by main consumption areas with coal grades, sizes and key quality parameters.
  • The availability of resource bases and calculations of expected coal resources significantly simplifies logistics decisions when preparing proposals for potential buyers of coal products.

Provision of information services:

  • The enterprise collects, processes, summarizes, stores and provides users with sectoral operational and updated information on the economic activity of coal-industry enterprises. The summarized information is used by relevant departments of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, coal-mining enterprises and sectoral trade-union organizations.
  • A dispatcher service operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Its staff receives operational information on coal production and supply, availability of railway wagons for preparation plants, emergencies and injuries at enterprises.
  • Six days a week, the information summary department collects updated data on coal production and supply, development workings, workplace injuries, coal-product stock withdrawals and staff attendance at mines.
  • The received information is accumulated, systematized, summarized and stored using software developed specifically for the coal industry.
